About this grant
Established in 1970, the Canadian Environmental Law Association is a nonprofit organization that provides legal assistance to individuals and communities and also conducts environmental policy research and analysis. With Mott’s support, the grantee will build its capacity to engage on Great Lakes freshwater policies. Over the next two years, the grantee will conduct policy analyses and engage in public processes to guide the Province of Ontario’s implementation of its freshwater programs. The grantee will also work closely with other nonprofits, government officials, First Nations representatives, businesses, agriculture representatives, and other Great Lakes stakeholders to increase public support for strong Great Lakes protections in Canada.
