About this grant
The program goal is to help build the community leadership capacity of community foundations. Silicon Valley Community Foundation will host a first-ever Innovation Conference in October 2016. The aim of the conference is to provide a platform where community foundations can learn not only about how fast-paced technological change will affect the lives of their communities, but also how community foundations can position themselves to help maximize opportunities and minimize hardships that new technologies will bring. The grantee was created in 2006 as the result of a merger between the Peninsula Community Foundation and Community Foundation of Silicon Valley. It is currently the largest community foundation in the world, with over $6 billion in assets.
