About this grant
The program goal is to build the organizational and programmatic capacities of the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation to address the economic and social development needs of poor and marginalized groups in Serbia, including refugees and migrants. During the next two years, the grantee will pursue a range of goals including leveraging financial support for large-scale humanitarian responses to the ongoing migration crisis in the Western Balkans; supporting the long-term economic empowerment of refugees and migrants, young people, and other marginalized groups in Serbia; increasing youth engagement in decisionmaking and community development; stimulating philanthropy in Serbia; and developing a strategy for building and managing its endowment. Prior support allowed the grantee to significantly increase its programmatic activities; expand its staff; and launch new youth programs, including the first local, youth-led grantmaking funds in Serbia. The grantee was established in 2007 and is based in Belgrade, Serbia.
