About this grant

The Puerto Rico Community Foundation will host a five-day event that will create and strengthen connections among community foundations from the United States, Puerto Rico, and Ibero-America. CFLeads board members from the United States will conduct a two-day site visit to get a firsthand understanding of the economic and fiscal crisis in Puerto Rico. On the third day, they will join their counterparts from the Ibero-American Network of Community Foundations to explore ways to create access and opportunities to quality education, health, economic development, arts, and other social resources. This will be followed by a joint meeting of the Ibero-American Community Foundation Network and members of the Puerto Rico Network of Foundations. The entire event will be part of the grantee’s 30th anniversary celebration. Founded in 1985, the mission of the Puerto Rico Community Foundation is to develop the potential of communities in Puerto Rico to achieve social and economic transformation.
