About this grant
Conectas is a Brazilian nongovernmental agency founded in 2001, working on strengthening social and environmental protections in Latin America, Asia, and Africa. One important result of the grantee’s work has been the development of guidelines detailing rules and standards of transparency, accountability, and social-environmental impact assessment mechanisms of the Brazilian Development Bank. The grantee aims to enhance the governance standards and social and environmental policies of the Brazilian Development Bank, in order to guarantee that its energy and infrastructure investments are ecologically and socially sustainable.
