About this grant
This grant will provide partial support to the Brookings Institution’s Metropolitan Policy Program to complete an in-depth analysis of the potential for inclusive economic growth in America’s older industrial cities. The Metropolitan Policy Program’s mission is to deliver research and solutions that help metropolitan leaders build an advanced economy that works for all. Intended as an expansion of the program’s influential 2007 study, the Older Industrial Cities Analysis and resulting report will establish a common narrative and set of policy recommendations to advance inclusive growth in post-industrial cities, while also providing individual cities with valuable analyses that can support their economic, workforce, and community development planning.
