About this grant
This grant will provide support to Genesee Health System for a mobile mental health unit in Flint. The mobile unit staff will provide mental and behavioral health services, education on available resources, and referrals to other programs for adults and children impacted by the trauma and stress of the Flint water crisis. Funding will also support technical assistance from the Children’s Health Fund which has operated and deployed mobile mental health service units in other communities following a disaster. Services will be offered at a variety of locations throughout the community including events, neighborhood centers, schools, and other locations where residents gather.
