About this grant
The Fundacion Ambiente y Recursos Naturales is an Argentinian nongovernmental organization that has worked for the past 31 years to promote sustainable development through policy, law, and civic engagement. Argentina, like its neighbors in South America, has developed investment agreements with Chinese and international financial institutions for large-scale energy and infrastructure development. Over the past project period, progress was made to influence sustainable energy investment and decrease social and environmental impacts of large-scale energy projects in Argentina. This project will support the grantee and two contracted partners, the Foundation for the Development of Sustainable Policies and Cauce, to monitor and provide information on the effective implementation of environmental sustainability, transparency, and public participation policies and regulations in energy projects supported by these public investment institutions.
