About this grant
The Great Lakes Initiative, a federally funded effort, has supported more than 3,000 ecosystem restoration projects in the Great Lakes Basin with $2.4 billion. The time has come to conduct an analysis of the economic benefits associated with the initiative, essentially calculating its return on investment. The Great Lakes Commission will arrange for such an analysis to be completed by a group of highly respected economists using robust economic modelling techniques. The grantee will broadly distribute the results of the analysis.
