About this grant
This grant provides continued general purpose support to the Philanthropy Roundtable, a national association of over 600 foundations, families, and individual philanthropists from across the United States. The grantee serves individual philanthropists and foundations that are refining their philanthropic strategies to maximize the impact of their resources, as well as emerging donors and entrepreneurs who are developing their philanthropic plans. It provides a variety of programs and services including a national conference, topical meetings, publication of Philanthropy magazine, thematic publications, and public policy work. Major issue-focused thematic areas include K-12 education, economic opportunity, veterans, character formation, civic education, and health. While the grantee is currently undergoing a strategic planning process, over 2019-2021 it anticipates continuing its educational and convening services and its vigorous support of public policy efforts to defend philanthropic freedom through its Alliance for Charitable Reform project.
