About this grant
China has established a new family of development finance institutions that rival the current multilateral development finance system. The impact made by the investments of these new institutions on ecosystems and community development has become a global issue. The Global Development Policy Center at Boston University has become a major research center analyzing these impacts and providing useful data for relevant Chinese ministries. Through this grant, the center will continue its collaborative research and policy dialogue with governments, civil society, the private sector, and development finance institutions. In addition, this grant will assist key Chinese think tanks in undertaking additional research and developing best practices to assist in establishing policies for more sustainable Chinese development finance.
