About this grant
The Support Centre for Land Change (formerly known as the Southern Cape Land Committee) was established in 1987 and works with rural communities, farmworkers, farm dwellers, and small-scale farmers to create the conditions for reform. Previous support enabled the grantee to create a community of practice for community paralegals where peer experiential learning took place. This also helped community paralegals and advice offices to provide quality justice services, especially to farmworkers and farm dwellers. This grant will enable the grantee to improve and strengthen access to justice for marginalized communities, address systematic rights violations through joint advocacy efforts, and improve the efforts of community advice offices to become more financially sustainable.
