About this grant
The Mayors Innovation Project, centered at the University of Wisconsin, is a nationwide learning network of engaged mayors and city officials. The team convenes officials in high quality learning events to address contemporary topics including drinking water and infrastructure. With previous support from the Mott Foundation, the grantee has provided technical support to Great Lakes cities on water, water affordability and sustainability challenges. Renewed support will enable the grantee to create a movement of cities that recognize that affordable water is critical, reasonable and achievable and to create a pathway to help them achieve that goal. The University of Wisconsin will convene water affordability academies and provide technical assistance through a peer-to-peer network.
