About this grant
ActionAid’s Bretton Woods Project has been a key actor on international financial institution reform issues since it was established in 1995. It works with nongovernmental organizations, researchers, and officials to scrutinize and reform policies and practices of international financial institutions, particularly the World Bank Group. Over the last grant period, the project helped to ensure that World Bank Group climate change commitments were kept as well as monitoring the COVID-19 response. With this grant, the Bretton Woods Project will continue its work to strengthen civil society engagement with the World Bank Group, ensure that key climate change commitments are kept and strengthened, ensure that a green transition is embedded into COVID-19 response and provide an information platform that supports policy reform efforts by civil society organizations in the United Kingdom and developing countries.
