About this grant

Ensuring global access to sustainable energy for everyone will require a massive deployment of financial resources, but recent evidence shows that funding levels remain firmly below the required amounts. Catalyzing the finance needed begins with a clear, data-based understanding of the financial needs and gaps in funding. The Energizing Finance Initiative of Sustainable Energy for All, a project of the United Nations Foundation, provides such data in a series of annual and biennial reports and associated communications and outreach. The grantee, a non-profit partner of the United Nations, seeks to bring together the ideas, people and resources needed to drive global progress and tackle urgent problems.
