About this grant
The project goal is to document and analyze the lessons learned from five donor partnerships that supported civil society development in Central and Eastern Europe during the past 20 years. Through field research and review of existing documentation, researchers will explore the setup, operation, and impact of five partnerships and trusts established over the last 25 years to support civil society development in Eastern Europe. The partnerships and trusts to be analyzed include 1) the foundations included in the Environmental Partnership Association, 2) the Baltic American Partnership Fund, 3) the Trust for Civil Society in Central and Eastern Europe, 4) the Balkan Trust for Democracy, and 5) the Black Sea Trust for Regional Cooperation. Results will be disseminated widely online and in publications, including Alliance magazine. The grantee will also share the report through its international fellows network.
