About this grant

This grant supports the IPS-Inter Press Service in Montevideo, Uruguay to increase the quality and quantity of journalistic coverage of energy and infrastructure development and finance in Brazil and South America. Over the past grant period, the grantee mentored a network of 18 journalists and published 57 articles with photos and 10 videos on development in South America. Over this grant period, the network of journalists will be strengthened and coverage will focus on inspirational community development initiatives compared to large-scale, high-risk energy and infrastructure development. IPS-Inter Press Service is a global news agency operating in more than 100 countries and has been working in Latin America for more than 50 years with a network of journalists reporting from many countries in the region.
