About this grant
The Flint Cultural Center Foundation will construct a new building to house the Flint Cultural Center Academy. The Academy is scheduled to open in the fall of 2019 with grades Kindergarten through 5th. When fully implemented (2022), the school will serve approximately 650 Kindergarten through 8th grade students primarily from Flint and Genesee County. The vision of the Academy is to demonstrate a unique application of education that challenges and surpasses the existing norms of student achievement and learning growth, while addressing the development of the whole child.
