About this grant
The Social Change Assistance Trust was established in 1984 to facilitate funding to rural community-based organizations that work to improve the quality of life in their communities. It makes grants to organizations that address inequality, human rights, social justice, local economic development, and HIV/AIDS. Past support enabled the grantee to provide funding and support to community advice offices based in the Northern Cape, Western Cape, Free State, and the Eastern Cape. This grant increase will assist the grantee to partner with the National Alliance for the Development of Community Advice Offices to offer training to over 125 paralegals working in community advice offices across South Africa.
