About this grant

The Fundacion Ambiente y Recursos Naturales is an Argentina-based nongovernmental organization that has promoted sustainable finance and development through policy, law and civic engagement for 35 years. Over the previous grant period, the grantee monitored international, regional, and Chinese energy development finance and made important contributions to strengthening social and environmental guidelines for such finance overall and specifically in Chinese overseas investment. Over this grant period, the grantee and partners will continue to monitor energy development finance by international and national development finance institutions. The aim is to strengthen these institutions’ governance and transparency, and mitigate the social and environmental impacts of their investments.
