About this grant

This grant will continue to support ExpandED Schools to develop a common measurement framework for afterschool programs to track children and youth across a range of youth outcomes, including academic, as well as social and emotional skills such as creative thinking, teamwork, self-regulation, and work ethic. The grantee will work with afterschool leaders and statewide afterschool networks to: 1) implement common youth outcome measures; 2) build capacity of participating cities and states to measure youth outcomes; 3) inform policy and practice through national dissemination of lessons learned to build understanding among leaders in the education, out-of-school time, and other relevant fields; and 4) assist in the development of student outcome measures related to the Foundation’s thematic partnerships and the Mott Afterschool App.
