About this grant
The Foundation for Human Rights was established in 1996 with support from the European Union to implement a human rights funding program in South Africa. It receives the bulk of its funding from the European Union and is one of the most significant grantmakers in the country supporting the development and strengthening of a culture of human rights. Mott has supported the grantee to strengthen its internal capacity and has contributed to its research programs. This grant increase will provide general purpose support and enable the grantee to make grants to under-served community advice offices across the country.
