California Statewide Afterschool Network

About this grant

This grant will support the Foundation for California Community Colleges, which coordinates the California Statewide Afterschool Network, to continue the development of policy, partnerships and resources to benefit youth in afterschool programs. Specific initiatives will include: 1) strengthening key partnerships to expand the continuous quality improvement system of statewide supports to advance a field-informed strategy to increase access to high-quality enrichment and learning opportunities; 2) increasing cross-sector advocacy efforts to bring awareness of afterschool and summer learning programs positive influence on whole-child health and wellness supports; 3) implementing new strategies and models to support equity centered workforce pathways to advance the afterschool field; and 4) supporting the promotion and distribution of Mizzen by Mott.
