About this grant
Environmental Advocates of New York works to advance common-sense policies to make the state more ecologically sustainable and protect public health and the environment. With support from the Mott Foundation, the grantee has built its organizational capacity to protect Great Lakes water resources. Activities have included mobilizing partners to understand the importance of investing in water infrastructure, leading a campaign to eliminate lead in drinking water, and working to raise awareness about chemicals in drinking water. With continued support, the grantee will highlight local success stories; generate media coverage; engage communities, local officials, and other stakeholders; and lead partner organizations in championing statewide policy change on clean water issues that benefits the Great Lakes.
