Afterschool Policy and System Building Initiative

About this grant

This grant to Ignite Afterschool will enable the Minnesota Statewide Afterschool Network to continue the development of new policy initiatives and strategic partnerships to connect high-quality afterschool opportunities to workforce pathways for youth. This project will: 1) convene stakeholders and decision-makers to clarify barriers and solutions to youth employment pathways; 2) build consensus on policy recommendations for improving youth workforce pathways; and 3) promote and implement education and communication strategies to enhance the support of high-quality afterschool and youth employment programs. The grantee will share lessons learned with other state networks to enhance the policy and quality initiatives within their communities and states.
