About this grant
With this grant, Flint Community Schools will implement a series of initiatives aimed at creating a middle school environment that garners students’ interest and is productive for effective teaching and learning. Specifically, the grantee will bolster middle school curriculum and provide teacher training to improve teaching and learning for students during these formative years. The new curriculum will offer more hands-on and project-based learning opportunities, and training will support teachers with the delivery techniques that foster this style of classroom engagement.
