About this grant
The project goal is to strengthen the philanthropic and nonprofit sector in Puerto Rico. To this end, Philanthropy Puerto Rico supports, educates and helps strengthen its members, grantees and the sector broadly. During the previous grant period, the grantee advocated on behalf of the nonprofit sector, convened and educated the sector and provided support to nonprofits. During this grant period, the grantee will expand its membership, inform and connect its network and support nonprofits through the Forward Fund. Established in 2009 by seven leading foundations, Philanthropy Puerto Rico exists to enhance the ability of philanthropy and nonprofit organizations to improve the lives of vulnerable populations.
