About this grant
The program goal is to strengthen the capacity of national and regional associations of civil society organizations globally. The Affinity Group of National Associations, a network that currently has 88 members from around the world, is managed by CIVICUS: World Alliance for Citizen Participation. The affinity group is one of the most active networks within the grantee’s alliance. Over the past three years, the grantee has strengthened the affinity group members through training, regional meetings and networking opportunities. During the grant period, the grantee will build the expertise and voice of members as key actors for the expansion of civic space, create new partnerships and alliances among members on civic space issues, help members develop sustainability strategies and improve the affinity group’s governance and accountability. CIVICUS: World Alliance for Citizen Participation is an international alliance established in 1993 to strengthen citizen action and civil society worldwide.
