About this grant
The program goal is to enable donors to provide leadership and practical support for civil society actors addressing the global trend of closing space for civil society. The Funders’ Initiative for Civil Society, a project of Global Dialogue, provides stakeholders with research, information and support to coordinate and align their grants and strategies. During the previous grant period, the grantee started two large-scale initiatives, developed six additional donor coordination vehicles, published 10 new resources and organized 25 events. During this grant period, the grantee will focus on research and thought leadership, mobilizing its Civic Futures learning community and scaling its Narratives Network Initiative. The initiative is a collaborative program managed by the grantee and directly involves a range of private funders. Founded in the United Kingdom in 2006, Global Dialogue implements programs supporting human rights, social change and funder collaboration around the world.
