About this grant
The Land Trust Alliance is a national organization that provides technical support, training and assistance to support land conservation, acquisition and protection. With previous support from the Mott Foundation, the grantee surveyed and assessed the capacity and willingness of land trusts to expand their effectiveness in improving water quality. The grantee provided training, mentoring and accreditation to advance land trusts excellence. With renewed support, the grantee will conduct one or more pilot projects with a land trust to advance measures to protect water quality and help land trusts navigate the COVID-19 pandemic by providing support to enhance organizational resilience, capacity and impact. Finally, the Land Trust Alliance will work with land trusts to engage a more diverse and inclusive constituency in land conservation.
