About this grant
The project goal is to increase access to justice for poor and marginalized people in South Africa. To this end, the Centre for Community Justice and Development will work with its network of 15 rural community advice offices in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa. Key interventions include providing accredited training to community paralegals, advocacy on systemic rights violations in communities, financial and administrative support to advice offices, and applied research to inform the work of community paralegals. The grantee is a nonprofit organization that oversees the work of 15 community advice offices in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa. It provides tailored support to advice offices to ensure that they provide a high quality service to poor and marginalized people in this province.
