About this grant
The project goal is to increase access to justice for poor and marginalized communities in Sierra Leone. To this end, the Legal Aid Board–Sierra Leone will provide access to justice services in five chiefdoms and five districts, across the four regions of the country. Key interventions over the two year period will include community legal education, training to paralegals and traditional leaders, community outreach, and the provision of mobile legal clinics. The Legal Aid Board–Sierra Leone is an independent government agency mandated by the Legal Aid Act to provide free justice services to people living in poverty in Sierra Leone.
