About this grant
The project goal is to foster learning, networking and joint action amongst community foundations and community foundation support organizations in East Africa. To achieve this, the East Africa Philanthropy Network will create a platform that brings together the community foundation field in the region and creates connections that advance their work. In addition, the grantee will profile the community foundation field by documenting and disseminating information on its existence, work and impact in communities across the region. Established in 2003, the East Africa Philanthropy Network brings together foundations, trusts and other philanthropic organizations to build a learning community and strengthen the philanthropy field and practice in the region. With members in Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Uganda, the grantee creates learning opportunities for members and produces knowledge that benefits the philanthropy sector in the region and profiles its work in the wider philanthropy field.
