About this grant
The project goal is to support community foundations in Africa to understand and apply the sustainable development goals to their work. To achieve this, SGS Consulting will produce user-friendly material to clarify the goals, train community foundations on how to use the goals in their daily work and produce case studies to demonstrate how they are contributing to achieving the goals. In addition, the grantee will support an informal network of community foundations from different countries to exchange experiences. The grantee will also support community foundations to connect to the sustainable development goal platforms in their countries. To build on the work of supporting the development of community foundations in specific countries in southern Africa, the grantee will implement the project in South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe. In addition to supporting the development of community foundations in South Africa, SGS Consulting provides technical assistance to community foundation support organizations in the region to enhance their ability to expand the field in their countries.
