About this grant
The project goal is to increase the engagement and contribution of European community foundations to the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals. To this end, the Fagaras Research Institute will: 1) raise the awareness of European community foundations about the different ways in which they can engage with the SDGs; 2) strengthen the capacity of European community foundations to use the SDGs framework; 3) increase the connectedness of the community foundation field to national, European and global civil society efforts to impact the SDGs agenda; and 4) increase the awareness of public institutions about the community foundation field’s contribution to the SDGs. Since its establishment in 2017, the grantee has developed a global network of over 60 researchers, practitioners and students from 15 countries. During the past two years, the grantee has been working on engaging community foundations in Romania with the SDGs. The Fagaras Research Institute is based in the city of Fagaras, Romania.
