About this grant
The project goal is to increase the engagement and contribution of European community foundations to the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals. To this end, the Fagaras Research Institute will: 1) improve and expand data collection and analysis on community foundations and the SDGs; 2) strengthen the capacity of European community foundations to use the SDG framework; 3) strengthen the interaction between community foundations and policymakers involved in the SDG process; and 4) strengthen the engagement of community foundations with local communities on SDG-related issues. During the past grant period, the grantee established working relationships with over 400 community foundations and support organizations working on the SDGs, published a baseline report on the engagement of European community foundations with the SDGs and developed and disseminated widely 20 learning products on the SDGs. The Fagaras Research Institute is based in the city of Fagaras, Romania.
