About this grant
Founded in 1998, PennFuture is a statewide environmental advocacy organization working for clean air, clean water and a healthy climate. The grantee’s signature strategies (legal, policy, communication and outreach) were devised to counter the pressing environmental threats in the state. The grantee has opened a new office in Erie, Pennsylvania to set forth Great Lakes protection and restoration solutions. Additionally, the grantee focuses on civic engagement in communities of color, greenhouse gas reduction and public health. Over the next two years, PennFuture will address priority environmental policy issues and grow its capacity to meet emerging threats, and expand its reach to engage underrepresented individuals and communities throughout Pennsylvania.
