Promoting Community-Led Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals

About this grant

The project goal is to promote a community-led implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. To this end, the Brookings Institution will host a series of workshops, roundtable discussions, and public events. These activities will inform and evaluate how place-based leaders set and track goals; mobilize the investments and action to drive progress; and develop and disseminate relevant tools, policies, and networks to maximize impact. The grantee will engage cities, states, foundations, and other stakeholders that are championing the use of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and provide a neutral venue to coordinate, collaborate, and disseminate tools and findings. This grant increase will help the grantee to add community foundation focused research questions, outreach, and analysis to the overall project products.
