About this grant

The Pediatric Public Health Initiative at Michigan State University will complete an economic analysis of the costs and benefits of lead service line replacement in Michigan. Concerns about the costs to municipalities of compliance with Michigan’s recent lead and copper rule have been raised. The research team will also create and distribute a public-facing report for an academic journal article. This grant will enable municipalities, stakeholders, and concerned citizens better understand the benefits of the new rule.
