Afterschool and Service-Learning Initiative

About this grant

This grant will support the National Youth Leadership Council to integrate service-learning into afterschool programs to increase student engagement in their schools and communities. The grantee will: 1) work with four statewide afterschool networks to deepen and expand service-learning into local afterschool programs; 2) develop resources for afterschool programs that can be placed on Mizzen by Mott; 3) support a learning community to share information and best practices on service-learning in afterschool programs; and 4) create profiles on the various methods of integration of service-learning within the statewide afterschool networks and afterschool programs.
