About this grant
This grant will enable the Indiana Youth Institute to help lead the Upper Midwest Children’s Savings Account Consortium. The grantee’s leadership will support programs and organizations working to advance state and local children’s saving account initiatives across the Great Lakes region and stoke demand for children’s savings account programs in the Midwest region, creating an environment where new programs can develop. Additionally, the grantee will provide technical assistance to existing programs to ensure high quality and growth. Over the course of two years, the grantee, along with the Heartland Alliance, aims to continue advancing high-quality children’s savings accounts in the region, while laying the groundwork for the planning and funding needed to advance children’s savings accounts in the region in the longer-term. The Indiana Youth Institute, which is headquartered in Indianapolis, promotes the healthy development of Indiana children and youth through its service of people, institutions and communities in Indiana.
