Virginia Statewide Afterschool Network

About this grant

This grant will support James Madison University which coordinates the Virginia Statewide Afterschool Network to expand access to high-quality afterschool programs for young people. Specific initiatives will: 1) establish regional networks in eight communities across the state to promote comprehensive afterschool and summer learning programs; 2) enhance youth outcomes by integrating afterschool data from programs and schools; 3) work with policymakers to design and implement education recovery funding to help Virginia youth recover and thrive; 4) work with the Mott Foundation to design future afterschool programs and ecosystems; and 5) support the promotion and distribution of Mizzen by Mott.
