About this grant

This grant will support Louisiana Tech University to expand access to high-quality afterschool programs for young people. Specific initiatives will: 1) expand statewide policy and diversify funding for afterschool programs through increased outreach and advocacy efforts as well as the collection and distribution of data, research and resources; 2) strengthen coordinated afterschool efforts by cultivating new and existing partnerships and increase statewide stakeholder awareness and engagement; 3) build a continuous quality improvement system with tools, resources, and support to strengthen quality programs, improve staff competencies and create positive youth outcomes; 4) build a STEM ecosystem with tools, resources and supports that strengthen STEM out-of-school time programs and create positive youth outcomes, especially for girls and youth of color; and 5) support the promotion and distribution of Mizzen by Mott.
