Nevada Statewide Afterschool Network

About this grant

This grant will support University of Nevada, Las Vegas which coordinates the Nevada Statewide Afterschool Network to expand access to high-quality afterschool programs for young people. Specific initiatives will: 1) strengthen the networks’ outreach through the development of an ambassador program with an emphasis on youth voice; 2) increase program quality across the state through the creation of an online hub for program self-assessment, professional development tools and communication strategies; 3) work with policymakers to design and implement education recovery funding to help Nevada youth recover and thrive; 4) work with the Mott Foundation to design future afterschool programs and ecosystems; and 5) support the promotion and distribution of Mizzen by Mott.
