Developing Community Foundations in Peru

About this grant

The project goal is to develop community foundations in Peru. Over the past three years, Mosaico Laboratorio Creativo introduced the community foundation concept to 600 social sector practitioners, developed relationships with 17 potential funding allies and worked with initiative groups in seven communities. The grantee also published the guide “Community Foundation Movement in Peru.” Over the next two years, the grantee will expand and consolidate the movement of community foundations in Peru, anticipating the formalization of at least four additional community foundations. The grantee’s activities will include research, communication resources, educational publications, study visits, training, technical assistance, matching grants and networking events. Established in 2017, Mosaico Laboratorio Creativo was created to strengthen initiatives and organizations working in the social, educational, cultural and artistic fields to motivate citizens in Peru to work collaboratively in favor of those most in need.
