Increasing Science, Technology, Engineering and Math in Afterschool

About this grant

This grant seeks to increase the availability of informal science education for students through afterschool and summer learning programs. Specifically, this grant will support STEM Next Opportunity Fund to: 1) expand the statewide afterschool network STEM initiative to all 50 states, including through the Million Girls Moonshot initiative; 2) support the statewide afterschool networks in data collection and quality improvement efforts to increase the availability of STEM afterschool programs; 3) educate leaders at the local, state, and national levels on the importance of STEM afterschool programming; 4) support technical assistance to the state networks in the area of STEM programming and evaluation; and 5) partner with Mizzen by Mott to increase STEM content and distribution of Mizzen to the afterschool field.
