About this grant
River Alliance of Wisconsin supports a strong network of local organizations around the state that address threats to Wisconsin’s waters. The grantee established the Wisconsin Water Agenda, a plan to manage water as it exists in nature. Environmental challenges from water pollution and overconsumption, impaired rivers and streams, emerging contaminants and mining, aquatic invasive species, as well as climate change impacts, drive the Wisconsin Water Agenda. With renewed funding, the grantee will expand and move the plan forward toward sustainable water management, build the capacity of local watershed groups and deepen relationships with diverse conservation partners to encourage meaningful action towards change in the Great Lakes region and beyond.
