About this grant
The goal of the Strengthen Community Justice in Rural Malawi project is to increase access to justice for poor and marginalized people in Malawi. To this end, the Centre for Human Rights Education Advice and Assistance will provide access to justice services in the Chikwawa, Chiradzulo, Dedza, Mwanza and Nsanje districts in the southern regions of Malawi. The grantee proposes to use a legal empowerment approach in addressing injustices, while navigating both the formal and informal justice systems. The grantee is an independent nonprofit trust that provides justice services, does strategic litigation and undertakes advocacy in helping Malawians access justice.
