About this grant

The program goal is to help address the long-standing and emerging issues facing immigrants in the Americas. Alianza Americas’ mission is to bring about a more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable way of life for under-served immigrant communities living in the United States, Mexico, and Central America. The grantee accomplishes this through its action-driven diplomacy, network advocacy, educational delegations and tours, a leadership institute, and mobile outreach supporting the caravans. The purpose of this increase is to enable the grantee to provide support to Kino Glaz, an organization in El Salvador that provides innovative afterschool programs in high-risk urban communities. Founded in 2004 by Mexican, Central American, and Caribbean immigrant leaders, Alianza Americas is a network of over 50 members in 13 states, representing over 150,000 migrant families across the United States, with dozens of organizational partners in Mexico and Central America.
