Accessible Baseball Field in Mundy Township

About this grant

This grant will support the construction of the first accessible baseball field in Genesee County through a partnership between the Miracle League of Greater Flint and Mundy Township. The field, part of the Mundy Miracle Commons park in Mundy Township, also inspired the township to incorporate principles of increased accessibility throughout the park, including paths that accommodate motorized devices and a playground that will utilize universal design guidelines. This is the only such park in the region and partnerships with organizations such as the Genesee Intermediate School District, The Disability Network, Crim Fitness Foundation and Mass Transportation Authority will help ensure residents throughout the region can access this important recreational area.
